As ever with Sunset Sounds, this night is going to have a smattering of everything - tech-house, funky breaks, driving progressive, filthy electro, techno and more I'm sure. Jordy has been spinning since 2006! He has played in uncountable numbers of raves and partys. Using his ability to play a multitude of different genres and mixing styles he can make almost anyone bounce and sway to his beats! He founded Djs In A Box in the summer of 2010 and since has picked up numerous djs and producers to join him in his great venture!

Alissa is passionate about art, cooking, clothing & costume design, music & dancing. As “Neon Sally,” she spent many sleepless nights dancing all over the interior of BC & under the stars at the Shambhala Music Festival to her favorite DJs. Alissa’s first appearance as DJ “Lyssa” took place in 2005. Having spent 11 years in Mexico, and being fortunate enough to be exposed to Latin culture, she has a strong desire to explore her roots in her musical selections. Depending on what mood we catch her in, hot summer afternoons call for deep sexy Chicago beats and bouncy latin-infused house, and on colder nights, expect anything from dirty deep organic tribal tech to quirky & fun latin tech house. She made Victoria her home in spring 2007. She has had the privilege of performing at summer festivals like Victoria Electronic Music Festival, Entheos Gathering, Uprising Media Festival and Solaris Music Festival. She has been added to Sunset Lab’s roster, and performs at some of the city’s coolest rooms & clubs, like Sunset Room, Hush, & Base Lounge.

NAOMI NICE ::.
With over ten years behind the decks, DJ Naomi Nice has acquired a large variety of music over the years and has played most every club, pub and lounge in the city of Victoria. Self taught, she had her first DJ gig headlining at Lucky Bar after only 6 months behind the decks! Never a dull moment with Ms Nice behind the decks, we never know what gems she will pull out of the bag. She caters her vibe to the audience she is in front of, tossing down funky electro, super sexy house, progressive or disco funk, sometimes a little bit of old school trance beats. Locally, she has held residencies at Suze, Sauce, Temple/Salute, Canoe Club, The Office, and Glo. She was also the resident DJ at the Levi store on Government Street and has played as a live window display for many other clothing stores. No stranger to the microphone, for years she was also a Karaoke MC at Sopranos Karaoke bar. Sometimes she still pulls a microphone out of her back pocket. Her recently acquired international DJ status was gained this past summer when she travelled to Spain to play at the annual festival for the Running of the Bulls. DJ Naomi Nice is what you call a one shop DJ stop! She can do it all. Night Club, Pub, Lounge, Wedding, Art Show, Staff Party, House party ... you name it, she has done it and wants to do it again in the future.

FLORIAN :: Sunset Labs, Audio Planet | Victoria

It was a dance party in an industrial zone of Vancouver that was Florian's introduction to electronica, and he immediately knew he wanted to get involved with the scene. Quickly thereafter he was getting involved in all sorts of events, from indoor shows to multi-day outdoor festivals including Shambhala, In:Vision, Diversity, and Entheos. When Florian was 16, he began investigating the alchemy of beats, basslines and melody -- seeking the transformative quality they hold on a dancefloor with the potential to unify each person into the interactive whole. He's studied the domains of dub, breaks, glitch, trance, and house in all it's forms with great dilligence, and now uses these modules to deliver a potent blend of sonic bliss that draws each individual into the dancefloor experience. Climbing the ranks from partier, to waste management, to harm reduction, to event planning, Florian is now a budding producer, promoter, and manager of Sunset Room - Victoria's only all hours dance venue.
