Gallery: Dance of the Dead 2011

It’s such a gift when there’s so many amazing people in one place that you’re not sure who to hang with first, and there’s a handful of long-standing events we host at Sunset that tend to generate this experience – dance dance resolution (new years), on the cusp (capricorn/aquarius birthday), heartbeat (valentines) and definitely Dance of the Dead! Such a terrific night, huge love out to our artists who carried us through the journey – CityOf9s, Dust, AFK, Joshua & Toby Emerson – amazing, all. We RECORDED this night and will have some awesome new music for you sometime soon! Stay tuned for that.

We also celebrated a few big birthdays for beloved dance scene supporters including our amazing VJ Photon, Sunset’s only magician-in-residence Jordan Blaikie, and the owner of that huge smile you see in our concession all the time – Melissa P. Big thanks to them for spending their birthdays with US making Dance of the Dead all the more awesome. As you can tell by the pics, we had a super great night – and big thanks to photographers Evan Boyd and Eric Clark for another awesome gallery of images!
