Profiles: Evan Boyd Photography

For more than a year Victoria photographer Evan Boyd has been showing up at Sunset, often many weekends in a row, and capturing the magic people & moments that Sunset so often manifests. Evan has a number of gifts that he brings to bear – his photography is amazing, a blend of intended poses and fresh candids that together create event galleries that are bright, dynamic and easy on the eyes. He has a great way with people, and our guests often get right into the role and start busting poses while Evan’s lens clicks away. He has been a committed contributor to Sunset, helping us capture and archive dozens of galleries and many hundreds of photos of our community – dancing & playing & frollicking as only they can do!

“I have been taking photos for as long as I can remember. In high school I took the photography program and really fell in love with the creative aspects of making great photos! I like thinking of new angles and concepts to work with. Over the last 4 years I have been taking my photography to a whole new level by exploring different styles, subjects and formats… like models, food, art, promos for businesses and special events.

I work for Sunset, taking photo of Dj’s, live art and people having fun. I love what I do and I hope you all like my work! I am still learning about photography and I’m excited to develop my style and creativity even further. My dream is to travel the world and take photos of the amazing world we live in and share with all of you!” – Evan Boyd

Largely, Evan Boyd Photography‘s partnership with Sunset has been to gain experience & exposure, and to get connected with new people & projects – which has happened in spades. Evan is now accepting new projects from within the community, and open to interesting collaborations – like many he has now completed with Urbanheart, Miss Hooptastic, KooKooMaMa Designs, Lyssa’s Stitchery, Wildflower Tie Die and many other creative people from our community.

Additionally, Evan is now making prints available from the many hundreds of photos he has taken at Sunset Room, so if you were captured in a glorious moment and want a hi-def print or digital copy you can contact Evan Boyd Photography directly for more information. Huge thanks to Evan for his ongoing creativity & collaboration!
