Bass Coast Moves to Merritt

We would like to officially announce that our fifth Bass Coast will take place on August 2-5th, 2013 in the Nicola Valley, BC. The decision to move to a new location was done only after much thought, care and deliberation. We know that ultimately Bass Coast is rooted in the people, the music, the art, and the family we have all become, and while the location in the Squamish Valley was both beautiful and close to home, it became obvious to us this year that its logistical challenges could put the future of the festival at risk. We work very hard to make improvements based on the honest feedback we get about your overall experience, our growing vision, and the mandatory steps needed to support our growth. It’s extremely important to us to continually present our family with the best experience possible and at this point, it means a big decision. We strongly feel that this new location has a promising future for us. It will be such a pleasure for us to offer comfortable drive-up camping for everyone on site, a warm and gentle river for swimming, a MUCH lower chance of rain and beautiful extended sunsets unique to this valley.
