THE INTERARTS CENTRE FOR MAKERS is being developed as a comprehensive facility for artists, makers, designers, creatives and capable people in Victoria, BC. By consolidating the equipment and resources of several arts cooperatives, InterArts will allow members access to an unprecedented amount space, equipment, resources and opportunities to create nearly anything.
Screenprinting, letterpress, filmmaking, photography, laser cutting, 3D printing, PWYC colour copying, A/V editing, wood & metal shops, large format printing, projection and performance space, resident artist studios, affordable office space for non-profits, gallery space and more housed under one roof.
InterArts strives to create a living network between disciplines in a central an singularly useful space – a cooperative of cooperatives that will allow makers to transition from do-it-yourself to do-it ourselves. InterArts has the benefit of many pre-existing components, such as an abundance of equipment, personnel and experience. So we’re not starting completely from scratch. But we need a space, which is where you come in; we need helping funding a space, we need help creating the space and we need help using the space. Using the space will be the easy part, though we’re hoping you can help with funding and creating the space.
