The LABS in Sunset Labs originally comes from ‘collaborations’, and from the vision of our studio as a multimedia laboratory full of brilliant, playful, creative mad scientists. As flexible and adaptive as possible, the goal at the Lab is to bring ease and flow to whatever you may be creating.
Constantly Evolving
If you’ve known Sunset Labs for awhile, you’ll know that it changes a lot. We love learning new ways to better serve our community, to adapt to the times, to make the space physically better, and to keep our work and internal culture dynamic and expansive. Plug n’ Play
We’re spent a lot of energy creating business systems, equipment configurations, audio routing, lighting controls, venue automations and so on… to make YOUR production as easeful and customizable as possible. While no event is easy, you’re likely to find many examples of things you thought would be difficult – that just aren’t.

Our team & equipment ensures that you have maximum creative flexibility – that you can whisper and be heard, that you can play drums and be enjoyed, that you can have a full band, or a panel of 8 speakers, or an Indigenous drum circle – and everything works, and sounds great.

For shoots that can work in smaller studios, Sunset Labs is a very easy place to be. Controlled lighting, easy mount points, lots of existing infrastructure in place and a commitment to help where we can – you’ll love working in-studio with our team of production professionals.

We might have even gone a bit overboard.
When it comes to lighting options AND ease of use, our wide range of controllable lighting can’t be beat. Our in-house equipment includes photo & video lighting, event & effects lighting, spots & floods & uplights & dynamic 360 lighting – ALL easily set up for your theme or production.
SET & STAGING
Configurable to your every vision.
Our recently rebuilt stage at Sunset Labs is 20’x7′, and there’s 30’x30′ of usable space on the floor. With a grid of built-in anchor points for hanging a greenscreen or backdrop, and our unique 60′ ceiling truss, the options for how you setup your stage, set and room are endless.
SCREENINGS & PRESENTATIONS
We think we have the best boutique theatre in town.
We love hosting film screenings, so we’ve been evolving our infrastructure this last year. Sunset is newly equipped with a beautiful 4000 lumen projector, a 10′ dropdown screen, and our brand new surround sound system. Your guests a guaranteed a GREAT viewing experience.
EVENT INFRASTRUCTURE
We say it’s ‘Designed for Creators’, and we mean it!
Through 1000+ events we’ve hosted, we have a pretty good sense of what you’re going to need from us. We have 80 padded chairs, 20 tables, area dividers, kitchenette, coat check, box office, rolling TVs, big & small whiteboards, flipcharts… if you need it, it’s likely here.
