UNITED + EVOLVED: Celebrating a rebirth of LiveVictoria.com and ArtsVictoria.ca under community ownership.
**THIS IS AN ONLINE EVENT **
Victoria’s most comprehensive cultural resources have been completely redesigned with YOU, our arts community, in mind. The tools, resources and interfaces of LiveVictoria.com and ArtsVictoria.com have had a serious upgrade, and we’re excited to show them you how they can make a difference to all you and your art!
Join us to see the results of our efforts and celebrate with live music and performances from Kady Savard & Co, 14 Flamingos, Marie Metaphor and Kobe Wilson.
While you may not yet be familiar with The Victoria Arts Promotion and Preservation Society, you likely know our work. “VAPPS” is a non-profit organization whose mandate is to increase access to Victoria’s artistic output; both today and for future generations.
We’ve now guided ArtsVictoria.ca for 8 years, and have recently taken over full ownership of the site from the City of Victoria. At the same time, LiveVictoria.com and its 20 years of history in the community are also being entrusted to VAPPS ongoing stewardship. The two sites will together form Victoria’s most diverse, comprehensive and dynamic cultural calendar, arts hub and living archive – ALL completely artist-led and community owned.
Our Evening’s Schedule
7:05pm – Magic Show with Kobe Wilson
7:15pm – Spoken Word with Marie Metaphor
7:25pm – VAPPS Presentation
7:40pm – Cleo Madelaine
8:30pm – 14 Flamingos
LIVESTREAM DETAILS
You’ll be able to watch the livestream in the Facebook Event, as well as from the front page of livevictoria.com & artsvictoria.ca, on this event page and on Get Down with the Lockdown on facebook.
