SUMMARY:Relational Leadership Lab
DESCRIPTION:No scripts. No props. No slides about leadership theory. Just people\, in a room\, physically shaping the leadership moments they’re actually stuck in — and seeing them from angles they’d never find sitting down. \nLeadership is hard. Not because we lack skills\, but because it asks us to face conflict\, sit in discomfort\, and lead with courage when certainty isn’t available. \nThe Relational Leadership Lab is a full day that steps into those hard moments rather than talking about them from a safe distance. It’s built for anyone leading a team\, project\, classroom\, household\, or community — title or no title. \nThis is for you if\n\nYou’re leading people who didn’t choose you\nYou’ve been carrying a conversation you keep not having\nYou were promoted for being excellent at something you now barely do\nYou’re the person others bring conflict to\, and no one taught you what to do with it\nYou lead a household\, a classroom\, or a community\, and no one calls it leadership\n\nWhat you’ll experience\nImage theatre — physically shaping real leadership moments to see conflict from angles we usually miss. \nLive simulations — practice navigating real leadership tension through real case scenarios\, with room to try\, fail\, and try again. \nDeep dialogue — honest conversation with other leaders that goes well past the surface. \nWhat you’ll walk away with\n\nSharper clarity on your own leadership instincts\nA practiced sense of how to stay present in conflict instead of avoiding it or steamrolling through\nLanguage for the hard conversations you’ve been putting off\nRenewed confidence in the leadership wisdom you already carry\nTemplates for deepening conversations\, elevating trust\, and working with tension rather than against it\n\nAbout your facilitator\nAndrea McCoy is the founder of Janklin Consulting\, where she works at the intersection of leadership\, culture\, and story. A descendant of Indigenous Mexican\, Scottish\, and German ancestors\, she immigrated to Canada in 2015 and enrolled at Royal Roads University at 35 for a Master of Arts in International and Intercultural Communication — proof\, as she puts it\, that it’s never too late to do something different. Her thesis work took her into refugee settlement across Vancouver Island\, where she co-coordinated the Vancouver Island Refugee Response Team. \nThe name Janklin came from her son’s toy frog. She chose it because it was unique and easy to remember\, and only afterward learned that for some Indigenous communities on Turtle Island\, the frog represents transformation and communication between the earth and the people on it. \nDetails\n\nSmall by design — roughly 15–20 participants\, highly interactive and participatory\nFull day — 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM\nLunch — not included; bring something OR plenty of nearby options\nWhere — Sunset Labs\, 400 Herald Street\, Victoria\nPricing — General Admission $100 · Students & Seniors $75\n\nREGISTER

SUMMARY:Indigenomics NOW!
DESCRIPTION:A 24-hour global Indigenous economic forum following the moon across territories\, time zones\, and Indigenous economies — broadcast live from Sunset Labs. \nIndigenomics NOW is the Global Indigenous Economic Forum rethinking the economy through Indigenous wisdom\, natural law\, sustainability\, and systems of value that uphold life. \nLife at the Center\nIndigenous economies are built on natural law\, guided by relationships\, and sustained through design that honours all life. They are circular\, generative\, and deeply aligned with the rhythms of the land. This is a blueprint of strength\, balance\, and enduring prosperity. \nThe Indigenomics principle of Life at the Center reshapes how we define wealth\, reclaims space for Indigenous economic design\, and activates economic systems rooted in responsibility\, reciprocity\, and respect. \nIndigenomics NOW is a living force. It signals a global shift toward economies that uphold sovereignty\, protect future generations\, and centre the sacred relationship between people and place. \nGuided by the moon\, held across the world\nIndigenomics NOW moves across territories and time zones as a 24-hour forum. The moon phases guide the agenda\, shaping the gathering through cycles of emergence\, reflection\, transformation\, renewal\, and continuity. \nThirteen content pillars move through a full cycle\, each paired with one of the thirteen moons of the nučaaṉuł (Nuu-chah-nulth) lunar calendar. \nCome be part of the circle\nThis is an open invitation to gather with Indigenous leaders\, entrepreneurs\, knowledge keepers\, innovators\, and changemakers. Together\, participants engage in meaningful dialogue\, shared learning\, and bold steps forward — grounded in the Indigenomics principle of Life at the Center and guided by sustainable Indigenous economic design. \nWays to take part\n\nGeneral participants — join the 24-hour forum and engage with Indigenous economic leadership across territories and time zones\nStudents and learning audiences — a pathway into Indigenous economic design\, natural law\, sustainability\, and future economies\nWatch parties — gather as a community\, organization\, classroom or network to experience it together\nDelegations — participate as a Nation\, institution\, organization or team\, and bring the conversations into your own economic development work\nPartners and sponsors — support the growth of Indigenous economic leadership and Life-centred systems change\n\nProduced at Sunset Labs\nIndigenomics NOW is a virtual gathering\, broadcast live from our studio in Victoria.
