SUMMARY:Launch Lab
DESCRIPTION:If you’ve ever finished a year wondering where the time went. If you’ve ever started with big intentions only to find yourself reacting instead of creating. If you’ve ever wished someone could help connect your vision with an actual plan. \nYou’re exactly who Launch Lab was built for. \nOur very first Launch Lab exceeded every expectation. Across North America and in the studio\, we welcomed entrepreneurs\, creators\, coaches and changemakers who came together to step back from the day-to-day\, get clear about what really matters\, and intentionally design the year ahead. The conversations were rich. The coaching went deep. Our Studio Seats filled completely. \nBy the end of that weekend one thing was abundantly clear: we had to do it again. This September\, Launch Lab returns as an even richer three-day experience — new modules\, more coaching time\, and a little more breathing room for the conversations and implementation that make all the difference. \nWhat is Launch Lab?\nLaunch Lab is your 3-day mission to fulfill your 12-month vision. \nOver three immersive days you’ll step away from the daily noise\, reconnect with what matters most\, clarify your priorities\, design your strategy\, build practical systems\, and begin implementing your plan while experienced coaches are right there to help. \nBy the end of the weekend\, your vision won’t just exist in a notebook. It’ll already be alive — in your calendar\, your project boards\, your habits\, and your daily workflow. This isn’t about setting goals. It’s about intentionally designing the next year of your life and work. \nWhy September?\nMost people think of January as the time to plan the year ahead. But for many entrepreneurs\, creators and professionals\, September is the truer beginning of a 12-month cycle. Summer winds down. Routines return. New projects begin. Energy shifts from vacation mode back into building mode. \nSeptember feels like a second New Year — and it’s the perfect time to map the next twelve months. Let’s goooo. \nThe three days\nDay One: Lift Off — We begin by zooming out. You’ll reflect honestly on where you are\, reconnect with what matters most\, clarify your direction\, and define what success actually looks like over the next twelve months. This is where your Flight Plan begins. \nDay Two: Momentum — Great intentions need great systems. Together we’ll develop the strategies\, workflows\, habits and structures that support meaningful progress long after Launch Lab is over. You’ll leave with an operating system\, not just a list of goals. \nDay Three: Escape Velocity — We point our nose toward the stars. Calendars get filled\, new tools get sharpened\, projects get organized. With coaches on hand to support\, you’ll spend less time talking about what you’re going to do and more time actually doing it. By the time you leave\, you’ll be pulling away from the gravity you’re used to. \nThis is for you if\n\nYou have a big vision but struggle to consistently make time for it\nYou feel busy all the time\, but aren’t always working on what matters most\nYou want to stop reacting to life and start intentionally designing it\nYou crave clarity\, momentum\, accountability\, and a room full of thoughtful\, ambitious humans\nYou have big goals for the year ahead and want some new tools in the belt\n\nLaunch Lab is built for entrepreneurs\, creators\, coaches\, consultants\, nonprofit leaders\, freelancers\, artists\, community builders — anyone intentionally building something that matters. First-time planners get clarity\, structure and the confidence of a plan they can actually follow. High performers get refinement\, optimization\, and the kind of professional feedback that multiplies results. \nWhat you’ll walk away with\n\nYour complete 12-month Flight Plan\nCrystal-clear priorities\nPractical systems that make follow-through dramatically easier\nProjects already mapped into your calendar\nGreater awareness of the patterns that keep getting in your way\nNew tools\, systems\, processes and apps\nAccountability\, momentum\, and a room full of brilliant humans cheering you on\n\nThe Studio Experience\nLaunch Lab is designed as a fully interactive virtual experience — whether you’re joining from your home office or from across the world\, you’ll be fully engaged as part of the cohort. \nThat said\, for some people there’s something special about being in the room. Our Studio Seats are for those who learn best face-to-face\, who want to immerse themselves for three full days without the distractions of everyday life\, and who value the energy of working alongside a room full of thoughtful\, ambitious people. \nStudio Seats are intentionally limited to 36 participants — the spacious capacity of our studio — creating an intimate\, highly interactive environment where everyone has the opportunity to participate\, connect\, and receive meaningful coaching throughout the weekend. \nYour facilitators\nLiz Zdunich is a coach\, facilitator and learning designer with more than twenty years of experience helping leaders\, entrepreneurs and creative professionals gain clarity\, strengthen their confidence\, and move from intention to intentional action. She has designed learning experiences for organizations around the world\, and has a remarkable gift for helping people uncover what matters most while creating an environment that’s both deeply supportive and wonderfully human. \nJason Guille is a producer\, entrepreneur and systems architect who has spent decades helping meaningful ideas become reality. As founder of Sunset Labs and Stream of Consciousness\, he specializes in turning complex visions into practical strategies\, elegant systems\, and real-world execution. His passion is helping creators spend less time overwhelmed and more time building the work they’re here to do. \nDetails\n\nDates — September 18–20\, 2026\nFriday — 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM\nSaturday — 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM\nSunday — 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM\nAttend from anywhere — fully interactive Zoom experience\nOr join us in studio — exactly 36 Studio Seats available at Sunset Labs\nVirtual Seats — $192 advance until August 17\, $222 after\nStudio Seats — $302 advance until August 17\, $322 after\nPayment — PayPal\, or e-transfer to payments@sunsetlabs.ca\n\nReady for liftoff?\nThe first Launch Lab was amazing. SUMMARY:Relational Leadership Lab
DESCRIPTION:No scripts. No props. No slides about leadership theory. Just people\, in a room\, physically shaping the leadership moments they’re actually stuck in — and seeing them from angles they’d never find sitting down. \nLeadership is hard. Not because we lack skills\, but because it asks us to face conflict\, sit in discomfort\, and lead with courage when certainty isn’t available. \nThe Relational Leadership Lab is a full day that steps into those hard moments rather than talking about them from a safe distance. It’s built for anyone leading a team\, project\, classroom\, household\, or community — title or no title. \nThis is for you if\n\nYou’re leading people who didn’t choose you\nYou’ve been carrying a conversation you keep not having\nYou were promoted for being excellent at something you now barely do\nYou’re the person others bring conflict to\, and no one taught you what to do with it\nYou lead a household\, a classroom\, or a community\, and no one calls it leadership\n\nWhat you’ll experience\nImage theatre — physically shaping real leadership moments to see conflict from angles we usually miss. \nLive simulations — practice navigating real leadership tension through real case scenarios\, with room to try\, fail\, and try again. \nDeep dialogue — honest conversation with other leaders that goes well past the surface. \nWhat you’ll walk away with\n\nSharper clarity on your own leadership instincts\nA practiced sense of how to stay present in conflict instead of avoiding it or steamrolling through\nLanguage for the hard conversations you’ve been putting off\nRenewed confidence in the leadership wisdom you already carry\nTemplates for deepening conversations\, elevating trust\, and working with tension rather than against it\n\nAbout your facilitator\nAndrea McCoy is the founder of Janklin Consulting\, where she works at the intersection of leadership\, culture\, and story. A descendant of Indigenous Mexican\, Scottish\, and German ancestors\, she immigrated to Canada in 2015 and enrolled at Royal Roads University at 35 for a Master of Arts in International and Intercultural Communication — proof\, as she puts it\, that it’s never too late to do something different. Her thesis work took her into refugee settlement across Vancouver Island\, where she co-coordinated the Vancouver Island Refugee Response Team. \nThe name Janklin came from her son’s toy frog. She chose it because it was unique and easy to remember\, and only afterward learned that for some Indigenous communities on Turtle Island\, the frog represents transformation and communication between the earth and the people on it. \nDetails\n\nSmall by design — roughly 15–20 participants\, highly interactive and participatory\nFull day — 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM\nLunch — not included; bring something OR plenty of nearby options\nWhere — Sunset Labs\, 400 Herald Street\, Victoria\nPricing — General Admission $100 · Students & Seniors $75\n\nREGISTER

SUMMARY:Codes from the Old World
DESCRIPTION:Hidden in ancient stories are all kinds of secrets…\nabout how to thrive in a time of unraveling.\nHow do we work with such codes? How do we court them? In a time of strip-lit\, rational thinking\, how could we as modern people cultivate an etiquette of the uncanny? From his years living in a tent through to his life now\, UK mythologist Dr. Martin Shaw will weave personal experiences up through any number of stories from the very edge of the fire. \nNo evening on the Codes tour is quite the same as the last\, though each is sure to be electrifying. In the tradition of the old Celtic Seanchai\, Shaw works entirely in the moment\, with any number of tales he may produce from his crane-skin bag. It will be an uncommon gathering and filled with strange nutrients. \n  \nJOIN US FROM AROUND THE WORLD\nIN PERSON TICKETS ARE NOW SOLD OUT – but we’ve got Stream of Consciousness delivering a beautiful high-definition multicamera livestream of the whole event. Join us from wherever you are in the world\, or even just from the comfort of your couch. \nLIVESTREAM DETAILS & TICKETS HERE \n  \nABOUT MARTIN SHAW\n\nDr. Martin Shaw is a celebrated international storyteller\, mythologist\, award-winning author\, and teacher. Dr. Shaw is widely regarded as one of the most exciting teachers of the mythic imagination. He is the author of seventeen books\, including the award-winning A Branch From The Lightning Tree\, Snowy Tower\, and Scatterlings: Getting Claimed in the Age of Amnesia. Director of the Westcountry School of Myth in the UK\, Shaw also devised and led the Oral Tradition course at Stanford University. His translations of Gaelic poetry and folklore (with Tony Hoagland) have been published in Orion Magazine\, Poetry International\, Kenyon Review\, Poetry Magazine\, and Mississippi Review. Current work includes The Nightingale and the Lion (a poetic rumination on the ecstasies\, secret traditions and love myths of the west)\, and Courting the Dawn: Poems of Lorca. The Irish Times call him “a Seanchai\, an interloper from the medieval\,” and Madeline Miller names him “a modern-day Bard.” \ndrmartinshaw.com \n  \nWHAT OTHERS HAVE SAID:\n“In a world that\, increasingly\, looks to set rigid boundaries around what is acceptable to think and feel\, Shaw’s work comes as relief\, like clear\, cold water from a rushing spring.”\n—The Sunday Times\, February 2023 \n“Martin Shaw’s work is so very beautiful. A new animal. His love of images is deep and contagious. In the passion of his search he makes up new words that seem as though we’ve always known them. His language is tasty and surprising. This elegant combination of very fresh\, free verse storytelling\, and a deep untangling of myth feels so alive. What will it do next?”\n—Coleman Barks\, author of The Essential Rumi \n“I can still remember the first time I heard Martin Shaw tell a story. The tale that emerged was like a living thing\, bounding around\, throwing itself at all of us there listening. I had never heard anything like it before. Martin is a one-off\, his work is urgent and necessary.”\n—Paul Kingsnorth\, author of The Wake \n“Eloquent and elegant\, Shaw offers an irresistible invitation into realms that hold the wisdom of\, not only survival\, but expanding into one’s sense of purpose.”\n—Malidoma Somé\, author of Of Water and The Spirit \n“How I love the intelligent\, poetic\, and wild way of his voice.”\n—Meredith Little\, co-author of The Way of the Vision Quest \n“A true master. Martin Shaw is one of the very greatest storytellers we have.”\n—Robert Bly\, author of Iron John \n“Martin Shaw is a conjurer\, a thirteenth century troubadour dropped in our midst. He breathes into his characters a beating pulse\, agile speech and bedazzling wit. Catch him any way you can.”\n—Eric Utne\, founder of The Utne Reader \n  \nABOUT OUR HOST\nThe School of Mythopoetics is a growing community of mythopoetic scholars\, practicing the arts of story\, myth\, ritual and wonder. \nYou might ask – what is myth·o·po·et·ics?\nThe practice and lens of using story\, poetry\, and myth to wrangle meaning for oneself and our collective journey. It’s the reawakening of the mythic imagination in modern times. \nHumanity is undergoing a great initiation right now.\nUncertainty is the increasing measure of our days. \nThe control-oriented maps of meaning fail us here.\nThese dark hollows are the terrain of soul. \nTo find our way\, we must learn to speak the soul’s language\, the mythopoetics that arise of birdsong\, of thunderstorm\, of crossroad\, of metaphor and myth. \nYour initiation will require you to court once again these wild Gods.\nThis School is a container for a regenerative cultural movement. \nwww.schoolofmythopoetics.com

SUMMARY:Marketing for Hippies 101
DESCRIPTION:Marketing can feel good.\nThat’s the premise of this online workshop. \nSince 2001\, I have traveled around North America working with conscious entrepreneurs just like you. Some successful\, others struggling. And I’ve gathered quite the assortment of success stories and strategies right from the horses’ mouths. This workshop is my best distillation and collection of those practices and stories. \nMy name is Tad Hargrave and I want to invite you to come and join us for this day-long workshop\, my signature event that I call Marketing for Hippies 101. \n \nIn general\, here’s who this workshop is for:\nYou’re in the Healing Arts or a Holistic Practitioner? Perhaps you’re a Therapist\, Massage Therapist or Body-worker\, Yoga Instructor\, Herbalist\, Shamanic Practitioner\, Life-Coach\, Meditation Teacher etc. \nAt its heart\, this workshop is all about exploring the question:\nToo much marketing (even by savvy\, conscious entrepreneurs) creates either no response or seems “over-hyped” and triggers a “used car salesman” reaction. \n \nSo . . . \nIn broad strokes\, in this day-long\, content-rich workshop you’ll learn how to: \nsell more of your products and services (without selling your soul).\nattract more of the clients you want (without ever sacrificing your integrity or spending a fortune).\nmake sure your marketing gets a positive response and creates warm feelings of trust.\nBut specifically\, while mingling with like-minded peers\, you’ll learn: \nthe Three Core Foundations and Seven Elements of Your Platform that you need to attract more – and better – clients\, with absolutely zero budget.\nthe Three Roles Of Marketing that any piece of marketing you ever do must play.\nthe core reason why most marketing feels bad (and exactly how to make sure that your marketing avoids it).\nthe only three kinds of potential clients you will ever meet\, and the exact approach you need to take with each of them.\nhow to have your ideal client approaching you\, instead of you chasing them.\n \n  \nPRICE: $25 deposit\n+Pay What You Want at the End.\nWhat does this mean?\n  \nYou pay $25 to secure your spot. Why a deposit for a PWYC event you ask? Well\, over the years I’ve come to find that people take a commitment more seriously when they pay for it. So that’s why the deposit. You are welcome to consider this deposit part of your PWYC fee. \nAnd then you get to enjoy the workshop and\, at the very end\, you can pay me whatever you’d like to pay. \nIf even the $25 deposit is too much\, please let us know. No one will be turned away due to lack of funds. \nIt’s an honest-to-goodness\, decide-at-the-end\, no funny business\, pay-what-you-can/want deal. \nOR: Pay 3 instalments of $67. If you’d like to pay the full market value of this workshop but want to spread those payments out\, choose the 3-pay option! You’ll be charged $67 now\, and then you’ll receive an invoice from my PayPal account for 2 more payments of $67 in each of the following two months. \nOR: Pay a flat $200 market value fee for the workshop upfront. If that feels good and convenient for you\, please choose this option. It’s something that’s been requested a number of times so I’m trying it out\, but either way is fine by me. \n  \nTICKETS HERE\n  \nWhat to Have Handy:\nPen and paper\, or a fresh document on your computer.\nYour fee: Please be prepared to send me your PWYC fee at the end of the workshop via e-transfer (if you’re in Canada) or via PayPal. \nA reminder about cell phones:\nPlease remember to put your phone on silent or even turn it right off. I encourage you to make the effort to really be present in the virtual room during the workshop. There will be a couple of breaks to check for updates if you need to! \nWhat does the day look like?\nThis day is mostly lecture format with some Q&A as you learn the core content of my approach to marketing. \n  \n*PLEASE NOTE: Time listed in Pacific Time*\n10:00am-1:30pm – workshop (fifteen minute break halfway through)\n1:30pm-2:30pm – lunch\n2:30pm-6:00pm – workshop (five minute break half way through) \n— \nSo\, that’s it. If you have any questions\, feel free to email us at admin@marketingforhippies.com otherwise I hope to see you there. \nStay Human\,\nTad Hargrave\nFounder\, marketingforhippies.com \nPS: BONUS! When you register for this workshop you’ll get a copy of my ebook How to Start\, which sells for $20 in my online shop. This book is a practical and refreshing\, seven-step workbook to use when marketing feels gross and awkward (you can do it all in one lazy\, rainy afternoon and you’ll use it for the rest of the life of your business). \nHow to Start is a tiny workbook about a little idea that could make a big difference in every piece of marketing you ever do from here on. Here’s the little idea: what if you made the heart of your marketing strategy about how your marketing feels to you and others? \n  \nAbout Tad Hargrave\n \nTad is a hippy who developed a knack for marketing (and then learned how to be a hippy again). Since 2001\, he has been touring his marketing workshops around Canada\, the USA and Europe\, bringing refreshing and unorthodox ideas to conscious entrepreneurs and green businesses\, helping them grow their businesses (without selling their souls). In short\, he teaches ‘marketing for hippies’ centred on the notion that marketing can feel good and work. \nTad did improv comedy semi-professionally for 25 years\, co-ran Edmonton’s progressive community building network TheLocalGood.ca\, founded streetcarshows.com and the Jams program of yesworld.org. He speaks Scottish Gaelic and helped to launch and co-facilitate www.novascotiagaelsjam.com. \nHe is from Edmonton\, Alberta (traditionally known\, in the language of the Cree\, as Amiskwaciy [Beaver Hill] and later Amiskwaciwaskihegan [Beaver Hill House]) and currently lives in Duncan\, BC. His ancestors come primarily from Scotland with some from Ukraine as well. He is drawn to conversations around culture-making\, politics\, history\, ancestry\, healing\, and how those all intersect. \nYou can learn more about Tad and his work at marketingforhippies.com \n  \nTICKETS HERE\n

SUMMARY:the Future of Children
DESCRIPTION:The Future of Children Rewirement Training\nWith Phil Moore\, Author of The Future of Children\nCo-founder of Upland Hills School & Ecological Awareness Centre \n  \nDETAILS & TICKETS HERE\n  \nA 3-Day Virtual Training for Parents\, Educators and Outliers\n*NOTE: This event is VIRTUAL ONLY – NO LIVE AUDIENCE \nBy the end of this 3-day live virtual training with Phil Moore (author of The Future of Children)\, you will have an expanded toolbox of ideas and initiatives that you can apply in your classroom\, family or community immediately\, which will provide the life skills and preparation for these children to confidently & skillfully navigate the world of the unknown. \n  \nThe Core Themes\nThe Future of Children Rewirement Training will focus on three essential themes that have been put into practice for 50+ years. All of the teachings will stem from these core themes: \nLISTENING: Learn & practice new ways to deeply listen to the children\, Earth & your internal guidance so you can better serve others.\nCONTEXT: Move from the ‘content education’ model by rewiring your world-view to become a comprehensive\, wholistic thinker.\nCOMMUNITY: Belong to a community and movement of co-hearts who are actively transforming education\, families and communities. \n  \nMeet Phil Moore\nIn a nutshell\, Phil Moore leads with his heart. He puts this extraordinary heart capacity to work by playing the infinite game. A game where there are no losers and winning means oneing.(from me to we). Where you play with the rules rather than by them. An infinite game player plays to leave an invisible legacy in the hearts and minds of others. This kind of open heart—willing to give and receive\, attracts allies and seeds possibilities. For his entire life as a teacher\, husband\, father\, Granda\, mentor\, writer and leader\, Phil has been an artist of possibilities. This artistry opens doors\, forges bonds\, spreads inspiration and astonishing learning happens for everyone in his orbit. \nLearn more about Phil and his amazing legacy here. \n  \nThe Current Education System is Obsolete\nThe children who are being born today deserve schools that nourish their unique gifts. Currently\, children are being fed a diet of toxic information\, in a factory-like setting that is diminishing their light\, while feeding their anxiety. Teachers are leaving the profession in large numbers because they know the current educational model is failing to nourish & nurture children into higher possibilities of being and becoming. \n  \nIntroducing a Love-Based Approach to Education\nWhen inspired and empowered teachers are given the ability to create innovative\, comprehensive curriculum\, based on passion\, play and place – children flourish. A Love-Based Education begins as soon as the child is seen\, heard\, honoured and cherished. Our initiatives have contributed to creating new kinds of human beings. People who love to cooperate\, collaborate\, contribute and communicate their love for the natural world and for life in general. \n  \nI take great joy in commending Phillip Moore and his Upland Hills Ecological Awareness Center to you. I’m personally convinced of the competence of Moore and his associates\, of their integrity and of their realistic commitment to society.\nBuckminster Fuller\nPhilosopher\, Futurist & Teacher \n  \nUpland Hills is one of the greatest schools in the world. I’ve never seen so many turned on kids in my life\, in any school setting. Friends\, love\, learning\, care…. These kids are going to grow up to be very different adults. They are hands on\, sensory rich…. growing up to be true\, deep\, wise\, interested human beings.\nJean Houston\nOne of the Principal Founders of the Human Potential Movement \n  \nDETAILS & TICKETS HERE\n  \n  \nHear what Jean Houston has to say about Phil’s work at Upland Hills School!:\n\n

SUMMARY:Nights of Grief and Mystery
DESCRIPTION:An improbable\, impossible night of words & music. The duo Storyteller/author Stephen Jenkinson & Musician Gregory Hoskins on the dark road Author/Activist Stephen Jenkinson and recording artist Gregory Hoskins fuse their separate work into an evening that is part book reading\, part concert\, part poetry\, part lamentation\, part ribaldry\, part lifting the mortal veil and learning the mysteries there. \nThat’s what’s been performed to sold out houses in Australia\, New Zealand\, Canada\, England\, Scotland\, Wales\, Iceland and the USA. \nConcerts for Turbulent Times they surely are. We aren’t poets\, maybe\, but the evenings are poetic. They are musical and grave and raucous and stilling\, which probably means they are theatrical. They are nights in which love letters to life are written and read aloud. There’s some boldness in them. They have that tone. \nThese nights have the mark of our time upon them\, and they’re timely\, urgent\, alert\, steeped in mortal mystery. \nThey’re quixotic.\nThey have swagger.\nWhat would you call such a thing?\nWe called it Nights of Grief & Mystery. \nSeven years\, 2 short films\, and three full length recordings after its’ inception\, Nights of Grief & Mystery: Rough Gods Tour travels the dark road again with a handful of not-to-be-missed duo shows that harken back to the beginning of their collaboration. \n“We do so when the current appetite is for either distraction or distress\, and we seem to be in neither business.” SJ\n  \nPURCHASE TICKETS HERE\n \n\n  \n WHAT THE AUDIENCE HAS SAID \nAnd for the whole show I just sat in wonder: How is it even possible to let music and words be engaged in such a fertile merging!? I felt that those deeply touching stories of Stephen Jenkinson were somehow brought to life by the music as if by midwifery and the wonderful voice of Gregory Hoskins and the feminine and sexy band. I know from my work as an author that it is very tricky to intertwine story-telling or reading with music. But this event proved the impossible. I looked around by the end of the evening and saw us all there in wonder and uplifted spirit\, yet deeply rooted in our inner archives. – Oddný Eir – Reykjavik\, Iceland\n \nWow. Just wow. What a beautiful\, heart wrenching\, funny\, brilliant show. I was astounded by the eloquence and poetic nature of Stephen’s oratory style\, and by the (for lack of a better word) TOTAL BAD-ASSNESS of the band. – N\, Tuners Falls\, ME\n \nMy heart is still full and my tongue is drunk from last night. – MS \, Franklin\, TN\n \nSo utterly heartbreaking and beautiful.” MLF\, Ithaca\, NY\n \nExtraordinary! It was a beautiful and unraveling intimate night. – LG\, Roanoke\, NC\n \nThe show was beautiful and dark and compelling and cathartic. Educational yet humbling. Strange yet familiar. It was a singular experience. I’m still kinda dumbstruck by the whole thing.” – CT\, Kitchener\, ON\n \nI highly recommend this show to you. Highly. Higher than highly.” – PS\, London\, ON \n \n\n  \nTERRITORIAL ACKNOWLEDGEMENT\nSunset Labs sits on the traditional\, ancestral\, unceded homelands of the Lekwungen people\, now also known as the Songhees and Esquimalt Nations. We endeavour to honour this land\, its peoples and treaties by strengthening our relationship and responsibilities to them. We acknowledge and thank the Lekwungen people\, on whose land we live\, work\, create\, dance and play.
