Sunset Labs is an intimate waterfront venue located at the bottom of Herald Street in downtown Victoria. Over the last decade Sunset Labs has evolved from simple beginnings to its current state as a beautiful, high-tech, plug n play, multimedia venue.


Sunset Labs downtown location makes everything easy – whether participating, performing, parking or producing the event! Located on the gorgeous upper harbour waterfront, our patio is great for summertime performances, screenings, markets and so on.


Sunset Labs is well equipped with a large outdoor patio, box office / merch area, coat check, concession, performance stage, lighting & tech control centre, bathrooms, ample nearby parking, tons of built-in equipment and the venue is fully wheelchair accessible.


Most creative visions these days are deeply interwoven with various technology. Whether you’re shooting a film, doing lighting for stage design, producing a global broadcast or simply showing a powerpoint presentation – we can help you make it awesome. 


Sunset Labs central-yet-tucked-away location ensures no residents are disturbed by our patio parties or loud music until morning. Whatever your vision, annoyed neighbours, community notices & noise exemptions are rarely relevant.


In partnership with Stream of Consciousness, Sunset Labs is uniquely outfitted to deliver sophisticated multimedia projects including multi-camera livestream broadcasts, live music recording sessions, podcasts, global collaborative meetings and more.


Sunset Labs is an incredibly adaptive venue, featuring flexible furnishings, versatile staging and programmable dynamic lighting. We have a grid of anchor points to hang art, create fake walls or setup tie lines. Walk in, push some buttons, you’re live!

Whether you’re wanting to screen your recent holiday to friends & family or debut a polished new international documentary to the whole community, Sunset Room is perfectly equipped for your needs. With a built-in box office for handling tickets & greeting guests, an array of projection & seating arrangements, coat check & concession services (popcorn!) & an amazing surround sound system, your screening will be fun, easy & successful!


One of the most common uses of the Sunset Room is for photo & video shoots. The physical adaptability of the space and our flexible availability (overnights, weekends, etc) allows your vision to flourish in front of the lens of one of our professional shooters.
