Celebrating 25 years of avian monitoring on Vancouver Island, Rocky Point Bird Observatory invites you to join us in person or online to see how hundreds of volunteers have contributed to what we know about migrant and resident birds.
Naturalist Connel Bradwell will guide you through examples of our research, public education, and monitoring activities: Dr. Alison Moran will share her recent work on the surprising diet of hummingbirds (through her analysis of baby hummingbird poop!), Ann Nightingale will offer tips on readying your yard for winter birds, and weather, owls and technology permitting, we will livestream a visit to our Northern Saw-whet Owl monitoring project in progress at Pedder Bay Marina!
Bring your questions in person or join us through this livestream broadcast to learn more.
