Victoria Night Life Awards

On Sunday the annual ‘Victoria Night Life Awards’ arrived to 9one9 to celebrate our diverse night life culture as a whole, and to shine some light on the many outstanding contributors that make our night life worth celebrating! The event, now in its second year, is put on by West Coast Entertainment and in the 2011 year had some 70,000 votes placed by the community in categories such as Best Female Bartender, Best House DJ, Best Atmosphere Club, Best Producer, Best Event of the Year and so on.

This year Sunset Labs team members received a number of nominations, and a few made the finalists including Toby Emerson (Best Producer, Best House DJ), Desunos & Keoni (Best House DJ), Space Age (Best Dubstep DJ). West Coast Entertainment will soon be sharing pictures & all the winners via their website and facebook page so stay tuned for the full list of winners! Big congrats to some of our friends who took home awards including Soulfix, Wes Olson, Elevenn, Naomi, Outsider, Mykee, Chi No & Hush! BOOYAH.

My deepest gratitude to the whole community for awarding me for the ‘Milestone Award’ which VNLA describes as ‘the individual who has contributed the most to the industry’! Crazy. To those who voted for myself and other Labs team members thank you SO much – we certainly intend to keep setting new milestones and doing all we can with art & music to contribute to our scene and make it as yummy as possible.
