Ready for a new concept at Sunset?

For the past few years we have been following a fairly consistent model for how we do our events! Fridays is 16+, Saturdays is 18+, and our events are one of 3 types – external promoter shows, internal special events, and mostly – internal monthly residencies (ie Riptide, Grime Machine, Nocturnal, etc).

It’s time for something new! One of the things we’ve heard most frequently, particularly from our 18+ guests, is that it’s often hard for them to know what to expect when they come to Sunset Room. This same feedback showed up in the customer market surveys we completed with you earlier this year (thanks for that!!).

There’s 2 things we’re going to change here. First, we introduce to you ERA – a fixed Saturday night residency which will offer a variety of fresh adult music (house, tech house, progressive, etc) every week, starting at midnight and rolling til 5:30am! ERA is the brainchild of Sunset Labs team member DJ Braeden, who will be overseeing the night and handling the programming for it as well. Braeden is stoked about this new creation, and has been working hard to deliver something original, fun & vibrant!

The second thing we’re changing is the format – also Braeden’s creation – instead of playing individual sets – we will be rotating 1/2 hours throughout the night to create a wider variety of sounds and give all of the djs a chance to play opening, middle and closing — and to create some synergy and some unexpected direction in the meantime!

ERA will show up every single Saturday night beginning Saturday August 25th – and will be displaced only for rare special events. Please come out and check out our new offering – we know it’s going to impress!
